Local moving covers relocations under 50 miles within the same state. Long distance (or interstate) moving covers moves over 50 miles or any move crossing state lines. Interstate moves are regulated by the FMCSA and require a licensed carrier like Wheatland Van Lines.
Basic carrier liability (60 cents per pound per item) is included at no cost. Full-value protection — which covers replacement cost — is available as an upgrade. We recommend full-value protection for high-value items.
